Our vision is to build and maintain customer trust by assuring the safety and quality of Amazon's ingestible products. We are looking for a dynamic and organized self-starter to join our team, focusing on transportation-related initiatives and under-the-roof food safety and regulatory compliance.

You will be responsible for identifying the food safety and regulatory requirements for new Amazon businesses. To achieve on-time, successful launches, this position requires a self-directed individual who can proactively identify risk in emerging areas and net-new business scenarios. You'll partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Legal, Design, Tech, and Supply Chain to overcome unanticipated obstacles. It is essential that you have demonstrated experience driving compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act and FDA regulations. This a fast-paced, changing environment, and an exciting opportunity to work in a highly visible space.

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and abilities:
* Influencer: earns trust, gains support, and overcomes resistance with data and persuasion;
* Leader: identifies opportunities and drives performance of cross-functional teams;
* Doer: designs and executes compliance programs, removing obstacles and simplifying complications;
* Communicator: communicates regulatory and food safety requirements and best practices in a way stakeholders understand; and
* Problem Solver: uses data and exceptional problem-solving skills to work through ambiguous challenges.

* Deep, demonstrated knowledge of food safety standards and regulations governing the grocery industry (local, state, USDA, FDA, including FSMA and the Sanitary Transportation Act) and experience interacting with the federal, state, and local regulators including USDA, FDA, state agencies, and local health departments.
* Ability to work independently and autonomously.
* Self-motivation with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
* Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements and using data to measure performance.
* Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team, including adherence to core values and dynamic corporate culture.
