EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 1-3 years professional experience in the crane and/or heavy haul industry is a plus
- Experience with 3D modeling (Solidworks, Pro Engineer, etc.) is desired
- Experience with crane and heavy lift softwares such as LICCON WorkPlanner, CRANEbee, Liebherr Crane Planner 2.0, Manitowoc GBP Estimator, COSMO, Goldhofer easyLOAD, etc is desired
SALARY RANGE: $70,000-$110,000
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Take reasonable care of your own and others; health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek's Zero Injury principles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential Understanding of static and dynamic forces, structural design, and basic soil mechanics
- Ability to construct technical drawings by both manual and CAD means
- Ability to work well under pressure and within set guidelines
- Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts or governmental regulations
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers and the general public
- Ability to interact and communicate with individuals of technical discipline
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
- Ability to apply concepts from basic algebra and geometry to advanced mathematics
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
