STS Technical Services is hiring Machinists in High Ridge, Missouri.

Join our team as a Machinist and play a crucial role in the precision manufacturing of components. As a Machinist, you will operate machine tools to produce high-quality parts, following specifications and blueprints. This hands-on position requires a skilled professional with expertise in machining processes and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision.

• Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures for each job.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments and ensure workpieces meet quality standards.
• Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and ensure they meet quality and design standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for process optimization.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and machining techniques.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Machinist
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Skilled in the setup and operation of various machines including CNC, laser, drill press, and T press
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and machining processes.
