Job Description

CDL TENDER TRUCK DRIVERS NEEDED!

This position is responsible for driving a dual axle, heavy industrial straight truck to drop off dry and liquid fertilizer to the custom applicator or to our customer's storage facility. This Truck Driver is also responsible for a medium size delivery truck loaded with packaged goods and a tanker truck loaded with liquid fertilizer for delivery to our customers. This also includes bulk water and crop protection chemical deliveries to custom applicators.

What your day may look like

  • Delivers bulk and dry fertilizers.
  • Delivers water and chemicals to field sprayer.
  • Delivers packaged goods to customers.
  • Maintains accurate log book for drive time.
  • Performs manual labor and miscellaneous tasks when needed.
  • Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
  • Reliable and regular attendance is expected.

Education and experience needed for this position

  • 18 years or older to meet CDL requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience operating large equipment is required.
  • Class A or B CDL
  • Tanker endorsement or ag CDL is preferred.
  • Agricultural background is not required.
  • Must pass a drug test and background check.

Your work environment and the physical aspects of the job

The work environment for this position may require the employee to work in an outdoor setting in all types of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements and occasionally exposed to a confined space. The noise level is usually moderate to loud and the employee is also occasionally exposed to vibration. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit. You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 80 pounds.
