ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties

* Wash dishes, pots and utensils.

* Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary

* Empty and clean all trash receptacles

* Follow sanitation policies at all times

* Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times

* Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately

* Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party

* Take temperature of Dish Machine

* Clean Dish Machine - clean grease dispenser daily.

Essential Duties

* Must be able to follow directions

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

* High School Degree preferred Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary

* Minimum of one (1) year preferred in the food industry

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE

* Strong commitment to high level of service and quality standards

* Ability to plan and organize

* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

* Strong sense of urgency; self-directed

* Ability read and understand labels and instructions, particularly regarding food safety and food hygiene

procedures

* Experience stocking the highly perishable goods away from the stable goods, to avoid cross

contamination.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the incumbent will have to sit, stand and or walk for the majority of the shift. The incumbent is required to regularly talk or hear while fulfilling the duties of the job. The employee may have to lift up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations will be made. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud depending on what kitchen machinery is in use.
