POSITION SUMMARY:

The Parts person will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the parts department. The individual will service walk-in customers, provide parts for the shop, and fill orders for field locations. He/she will assist shipping and receiving, as well as warehouse staff in transporting parts. This position is hourly, and reports directly to the Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Answer telephone
  • Greet and service walk-in customers
  • Prepare and follow up of retail and wholesale bids
  • Daily cleaning, stocking, and price marking of retail display area
  • Fill customer, shop, and field part orders
  • Maintain daily shortage sheet and advising purchasing of inventory shortages
  • Coordinate activities with customer service bay to ensure custom orders are scheduled and manufactured accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Transport parts to and from warehouse
  • Shipping and receiving of parts
  • Other duties as assigned

  2. Parts stored up to 5 feet high - Up to 100 pounds
  3. Parts stored at 6 feet and higher - Up to 70 pounds
  4. Parts on shelving - Up to 120 force pounds to push/pull

JOB SPECIFICS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Computer skills/proficiency necessary
  • Able to operate general office equipment
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Mechanical background preferred
