How you'll make an impact:

Temporary producer for the Laura Coates Show, a daily morning show that covers news and politics on POTUS, SiriusXM's bipartisan politics channel. Responsible for all aspects involved in the production of a daily live talk show, including booking high profile guests, researching and prepping host, creating daily show promos, and updating social media.

What you'll do:

• Collaborate with host to generate compelling show topics and guests that will create lively, balanced, and bipartisan talk programming.
• Plan segments, topics and develop editorial calendar for the show.
• Book segment guests, conduct pre-interviews, and prepare pre-show materials for host.
• Oversee the social media strategy for the show.
• Identify and edit newsworthy audio clips to share with PR team and on social media.
• Contribute to specials and event coverage in addition to regular daily shows.
• Participate in breaking news coverage and extended coverage of political events.
• Set-up, record and edit any pre-recorded interviews and facilitate any remote broadcasts.
• Support other programs on the channel as needed.

What you'll need:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong relationships with publicists
• Strong experience in politics, news, and current events.
• Experience working with high-profile talent and guests.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work early morning hours.
• Flexibility to reprioritize show content in the current news/political cycles.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
• Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles.
• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
