Company Overview:

STS Technical Services , a Top 100 Staffing Firm, collaborates with leading entities in the aerospace, manufacturing, defense, and industrial sectors. We are currently seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Grand Junction, Colorado, to join West Star Aviation's team.

Position Summary:

As a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will focus on directing a team of technicians to achieve timely, high-quality results. This role demands a highly analytical individual with a critical mind, strong technical skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities. Your primary responsibility will be to optimize manpower utilization and direct project flow efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team in completing assignments and tasks, using sound judgment in day-to-day activities and escalating complex issues to management.
  • Implement efficient handovers to subsequent shifts to minimize aircraft downtime.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce turnaround times within your scope of responsibility.
  • Train and mentor technicians on your projects, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
  • Supervise team members' daily activities, maintaining strict adherence to schedules and quality standards.
  • Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft and related systems, including panel removals, installations, and structural repairs.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and conduct detailed evaluations of aircraft as needed.
  • Conduct aircraft movement and taxiing as required.
  • Maintain shop facilities, equipment, and tools to support operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with customers in project management, pricing, and support roles.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication in English, both written and spoken.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess an Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • 5 years of experience in Falcon aircraft maintenance, including supervisory roles overseeing four or more team members.
  • Advanced knowledge of FAA regulations, work orders, and proficiency with Corridor systems.
  • A valid driver's license or passport is preferred.
