Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Structured Cabling Technician.
In this role, the Structured Cabling Analyst will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day cabling requests (Patches, Moves, Adds and Changes) to meet service goals and expectations of the user community. Service Requests, Incidents and Tasks are logged and distributed within our ITSM tool (Heat/Ivanti) on a daily basis. Typical respondent process is to assess the requirements, acquire pricing from one of our certified pool of vendors, coordinate chargeback according to policy, schedule and execute the cabling request. This is for work within the hospital as well as the off-sites. Visitation to these sites will be required at the discretion of the Analyst to best deliver quality and timeliness.
The Analyst will also be required to assist in the monitoring and management of our BDF/IDFs within and outside NYULHs hospital campuses. It includes monitoring the health of these facilities for overall cleanliness, cable management, power and cooling conditions and participating in the maintenance of best practices and standards. It also includes Identifying risks to service and escalating to the proper party responsible for remediation, maintaining rack elevations and addressing security concerns.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum experience of 5 years in IT support and/or IT facilities roles. Has the ability to work across teams and work alone. Strong technical skills with basic networking and desktop systems. Have the ability to understand goals so prioritization and execution of tasks meet expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a BA/BS degree with 2 or more years of related experience.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $74,989.06 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
